This beautiful metal sculpture is a replica of the model aircraft ''Fokker DVII (1918), biplane'', who served in the first war. This aircraft is on display at the museum in Knowlton in estrie.
The propeller rotates about a pivot as a real plane. This sculpture was completely handmade, with metal sheet of 1/8 inch thick, cut, hammered, assembled, welded and cleaned and then covered with several coat of clear varnish.
The aircraft is 12 inches long and the wings have a wingspan of 15 inches in length. Its height is 7 1/2 inches.
Its total weight is 1939 grams.
